Tullamore Dew Irish Whiskey 1 liter Prijs Aanbieding 19,00 vanaf 6 flessen Tullamore D.E.W. Trilogy 15 Year Old ABV: 40.0 AGE: 15.0 Years Official Nose: Rich spice and nutty oakiness interlaced with a hint of tropical fruit. Made in limited small batches this release from Tullamore D.E.W. I’ve had the chance to taste a few of their more premium expressions, and they are more what I’m looking for in a whiskey (especially in the mouthfeel). It tastes fine, but there’s something plain about it that isn’t interesting to me. Just like Jameson, though, that doesn’t mean it doesn’t taste good.Īs far as Irish whiskies go, I’ll admit Tully isn’t my first or second go-to (Bushmills is the first and the second could be Jameson IPA or Fighting Irish 69th, or Slane - there’s a lot out there). It’s cheap, comes in 1.75L handles, and is widely available. Tullamore D.E.W., or “Tully”, is probably the second bulk /Irish whiskey college students/partiers, in general, go to after Jameson. Maybe Tullamore means in the Republic of Ireland? I’ll have to look into that… Not really sure what that means or what to do with it - Bushmills, while in Northern Ireland, is over 200 years older (founded 1608), also triple distills its whiskey, and is also a multi-grain blend. Tullamore DEW advertises itself as the original triple blended Irish whiskey. But we’ll still call it dew because the company does. That’s right, folks - it’s not dew, it’s D.E.W. Tullamore D.E.W.’s Trilogy is a 15 year old whiskey that undergoes you guessed it three different barrel treatments.
